Go Beyond!

In just a few days, our campus will be a launch pad for kids looking to learn more about God and grow in their faith as they go “To Mars and Beyond” for Vacation Bible School. This is always a fun and special time of year as we get to share about Jesus’ love with the children and watch them enjoy learning about God in a fun and creative way. I hope you will join me in praying for all the children who will be part of VBS this next week, along with the volunteers who will be leading them all week.

As we prepare for VBS, the key verse for the week is from Ephesians 3:20 (CEB): “Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us.” God is doing amazing things all around us — even beyond our wildest imagination. Through God’s grace, we have seen lives changed and hope restored. All of this is possible because of God’s work within us that gives us new life and the power to overcome.

What big things is God doing in your life right now? How have you experienced the power of God at work in you? This Sunday, we will pray for all the volunteers who will help with VBS next week. I also want to challenge you to join me in memorizing Ephesians 3:20 as we celebrate what God is doing and will do in the lives of the children at VBS. It’s going to be a great week, and I want us all to be ready for what God will do.

Have a great weekend and I look forward to being with you in worship at 8:45 and 11:00 AM on Sunday!

Glory to God,
Matt

P.S. In last week’s message, I shared about a spiritual gifts assessment available through the United Methodist Church. If you have not already done so, I want to encourage you to take the assessment and discover your spiritual gifts. Later this summer, we will identify the different ministry opportunities available through the church and help you find how you can put your gifts to work.
