At Royston First United Methodist Church, our prayer is that we may be “one in ministry to all the world.” That means caring for those in our own community, our surrounding communities, across the country, and around the world. We are thankful to continue partnerships with so many organizations locally and globally!
RFUMC Mission Initiatives
FRIDAY’S CHILD
Friday’s Child Ministry is another mission we provide, with weekend supplements of food for insecure children in our community. Volunteers prepare bags at the church on Thursday afternoon, and deliver the bags to the school to be sent home with children on Friday. The cost to support one child for the school year is $300. To serve with this ministry, food bag packing happens on Thursdays at 2:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
BLESS SFES!
Throughout the school year, we seek to bless faculty, staff, and students of South Franklin Elementary School with the love of Jesus by sending notes, providing gift cards, offering words of encouragement, praying for the teachers, and serving at events. We are proud of our teachers and students at South Franklin Elementary School, and we love to let them know that!
Mission Partnerships
Along with the organizations listed below, we select a “Mission of the Month” to support financially and with donations every month. The “Mission of the Month” is a great opportunity to support and sustain relationships with so many of these groups in our community and beyond.
THE RAINBOW PANTRY of ROYSTON
With food insecurities high, we have partnered with Rainbow Pantry to help meet the needs of our local community. The Rainbow Pantry is located in Royston and serves over 5,000 people annually. Food distributions are usually held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Throughout the year, we sponsor canned food drives to collect food and items needed for the pantry.

Royston First UMC partners with many local organizations to help individuals in dire situations.
