Meet at the church at 4:30pm May 18th to leave for the trip to Tuckston UMC. Wear a white shirt and anything else that is white. We will eat with them at Tuckston and be back at the church by 8:30pm that night. See ya there.

Hey Guys May 18th we will be going to fellowship with another youth group at Tuckston UMC in Athens. All middle and high school youth are invited to attend.

If you are planning to go I will have permission forms this week, remember if you don't have a permission form you will not be going.

Youth Sunday Success!!!

Hey guys I just wanted to thank all that showed up and helped out with the Youth Sunday Service, it was a total success. I think we might have really gotten to the adults in the church. I want each and everyone of you to understand that you are where it starts. God chose you to change the world and the heart of everyone around you. A lot of times once we get to a certain age it's hard to see clearly what God wants for us, but right now we have the perfect opportunity to do something. It's kinda like the movie HOOK Peter Pan had gotten so to a point where he couldn't see the fun in life, he had been away from never land to long. Well in real life it seems that a lot of adults have been away from faith to long and have forgotten how to fly. Well lets be those lost boys and teach them how to soar again.

Burger King is amazing when you bring this youth group into it.

1 playground+1 church van with 16 kids= mad employees.

What you need for SLR

Here is a short list of what you will need for SLR. Remember to be at the church at 4:30 for communion.

• Sleeping Bag/sheets, pillow
• Two pairs of tennis shoes
• Regular clothes
• Old clothes
• Lots of socks
• Toothbrush
• Towels
• Soap
• Shampoo
• Toiletries
• Coat
• Rain gear
• Flashlight
• Money for duck race
• Money for food on way up and back
• Money for snacks

This weekend LEGACY

We will be leaving the church at 5pm this Fri. so be there at 4:30. We will stop on the way up so make sure you bring money to eat.

We will be arriving back at the church around 3pm, youth will call when close. Have money for lunch on the way back.

Also, bring money to join in on the duck race. Little ducks are $1 medium ducks are $2 and giant ducks are $25.

The theme of the weekend is LEGACY: What will you leave behind.

I want you all to think about this one. When your not here anymore what will be said of you how will you be remembered. I'm not saying that we should only be remembered for the pretty things, Christ at first wasn't remembered as beautiful, why should we. Lets get dirty, lets get things started, make an effort to change a life. Have some integrity and don't just be a good Christian in front of people, do it when no ones watching.

We need to think of something to put in the time capsule for the weekend, be working on that one.
